2023 China Hat ISDE & Poker Run Postponed to October

It is with deep regret that we must announce the postponement of the 2023 China Hat ISDE and Poker Run. The new dates will be October 21st and 22nd. The Lobos MC has made this difficult decision due to ice and snowpack levels we haven’t seen in 50 years, impacting the staging area and nearly all of the planned route. We anticipate that there will not be enough change in the course conditions to host a safe and fun event weekend on April 23rd and 24th.

In the past, we have been able to adjust the course to deal with similar situations. However, this is impossible as much of the East Fort Rock OHV system is still under up to three feet of snow. We want to ensure that all our riders and supporters are safe, and we believe postponing the event is the best way to achieve that.

We will send emails to each registration with the option to be refunded or to remain on the list for the race in October. If you have registered for either event, or someone registered for you, please keep an eye on that inbox for important information.

We understand that this may be as disappointing for you as it is for the entire Lobos team,  but the most important thing to the Lobos is hosting a safe and spectacular event weekend.

We will reopen registration for the vacated spots at a later date. If you request a refund and later choose to race in October, you will have to go through the registration process as a brand new entry. Your entry/start time will be assigned in the new order it was received, behind those who did not request a refund.. All riders who remain registered will move forward on the schedule.

We hope you understand this difficult, but necessary decision and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Our priority is our riders’ safety, and we believe postponing the event is the best way to ensure this.
